bummer...just a rant/vent

Okay, so today I was SUPER exited because I was planning to make a call to Jericho Terrace to go in a put a deposit down for my date for the Dome Room (the ONLY room I liked there...or well, anywhere) and when Anthony (super, super nice man btw) called me back he said he only had the Penthouse room available!! And what's even worse is that I was just there maybe 9 days ago to look at it and it hadn't been booked yet.



I'm really specific about my date and I don't want to change it so it's.....back to the drawing board I go.

I made one last appointment for tomorrow and if I don't like the space I'm going to just hope that the other place I 'sort of' liked (that I JUST saw on Friday) doesn't book my date before I get a chance to!!

All and all, I'm just bummed....for the first time I was beginnning to really envision what everything would look like because I felt like I needed a room to picture everything in and now...I have no room. :(

Awww...I'm sorry your room was booked. My sil told me it doesn't matter the way the room looks or how the place looks its how you make it...as long as the food tastes good and the music is good...your wedding will be great!!!

I'm sorry to hear that...you will find something you love just as much. There are tons of choices on Long Island...keep your head up and just keep looking, you'll find it!

Ooh, are you our first Leap Year-Day bride? Cool. I can see why you're inflexible about the date. Are you finding that that day is really popular because it's so unusual, or pretty open because people are worried about when they're going to celebrate anniversaries?

I'm actually finding that the bookings for that day are very sporatic. Some places are booked since October and some are still open, but they are going quickly I feel...

....FH and I talked it over last night and we're going to go with our second choice and not see any more halls (because honestly I'm not really into it....I love my FH but looking at halls is tedious and aggrivating, everything is basicly the same)....so I called the Fox Hollow this morning and told them that I wanted to come in Thursday to put down a deposit to PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE hold my day until then, and they are!!!

So I'm almost a Fox Hollow bride. :)

Fox Hollow is a great place. We had our engagment party there. You will love it. What room ar eyou getting? We had ours in the garden pavillion. It's beautiful!!!

I wanted the Garden Pavillion SOOO badly but my list is way over 130 :( so we'll be in the Garden Terrace room.
