Bummin sort of but not really...(unnecessarily long) **UPDATE**
I got the call from Bridal Reflections that my headpiece came in. I was very excited to go and get it so I could just play around with hair styles (which would determine whether or not I chop my hair off). So I went over there tonight to pick it up. It was a costly custom piece with Swarovski crystals and pearls. FH came in with me (he holds the credit cards)and sat in the lobby area while I went to another room to look at it (so he couldnt see).
So here I am looking at it and I realize that something is clearly off. The pearls that were added were not symmetrical and looked weird to me. Would most people notice? Probably not. Did I notice? IN A SECOND. I took out a piece of paper which had a photo copy of the headpiece and the places where the salesperson and I specifically mapped out where the pearls were to go in place of the existing crystals on the sample. The designer also left off two pearls.
Now here I am thinking I am OCD, and wacky. Im also thinking about how many close up pictures there will be of my head and how I will look at my wedding pictures for the rest of my life pointing this lopsided pearl issue out to myself and others. But I kept my cool, got the manager and she couldnt have been more accommodating. She did not invalidate my thoughts or ideas and was EXTREMELY responsive to making sure it was done right. She said bascially that no matter how much was spent on it, that I was the bride and it should be right. So she is sending the headpiece back until the problem is rectified.
This was not Bridal Reflections' problem or fault. This could have happened through any bridal salon. They were specific in their instructions to the designer and the designer was at fault. In fact, BR did assume responsibility since I contracted the designer through them. I am confident that the problem will be fixed. The sales people and manager were respectful to me, once again.
Despite all of the negativity I see here in regard to their customer service, I have yet to see anything less than excellence.

By the way, someone did walk out of the store with SOMETHING. I had been looking at a beaded handbag that perfectly matched a dress I have to wear next Saturday night - a hard to match color. It was quite a bit more than I wanted to spend so I put it down. Since FH was with me and took his own car, he went back into Bridal Reflections, bought the bag after I pulled away and it was waiting for me on my computer desk when I got home. He knew I was disappointed and wanted to make me feel better. I love this man.
--------UPDATE---------
I spoke with the manager at Bridal Reflections today and my headpiece was received by the designer. THEY ARE FIXING IT!!! And again, BR couldnt have been nicer about it. I can't wait til it comes in!
