Shamma, this is good. the only thing that little girls have to remember is that we burn less calories than avg. person per exercise, so everything needs to be decreased a little bit.

Alina, you can burn a 1000 calorie in an hour of workout.

Nope, not someone who is small.

If do my eliptical trainer stuff, and if I were to do it for an hr instead of my normal 30 mins, I would burn 500 cals. I think the same applies to aerobics. And its a lot less if I were to either walk or do weights.

shamma, I usually have 1000-1300 calories per day (or so I estimate). If I were burning all of them with exercise, I would lose lbs, which I still haven't.

The only problem with suggestion #4 is when I'm at the pub burning the calories I'll be adding on more with all of my drinking

Shamma, what's the point of chilling while working out? It's like doing a job half way.

I work out at a medium speed or so. No leisurely, but I don't get out of breath in 15 mins either. Usually, at the end I am sweating, and sometimes during a workout I even need to slow down a bit.

If I walk, then its about 4mi/hr speed with a 1 or 1.5 incline. And sometimes during the walk I try to run, but I am horrible at running, and can't really do that for more than 2-5 mins.

ok...so I park further in the parking lot...but I just heard that moderate exercise doesn't help you lose weight...did anyone else hear about that study released last week?

Re: Burn 1000 calories this week

Yabbo, where did you see the study?

Re: Burn 1000 calories this week

Yup just shot the govt in the arm, saying that 30 mins 3 times a week does not work. Who would have known I never thought it worked but I thought it was better than no activity if you asked me

Re: Burn 1000 calories this week

well...they say there are still health benefits...but if you don't sweat its not working...let me see if I can find the report...

Yabbo, did you see this paragraph?

'One drawback of the study, the scientists acknowledged, is that the men only were questioned about their exercise habits one time at the start of the study, so there is no way to know whether the men changed their habits over the 10 years the study was conducted. '

Doesn't look like there was any sort of monitoring involved or checking if people followed through their routine, and how often has each of us started exercising, and then stopped and started again, like a YoYo...
