Has anyone ever ordered the invitations with the burnt edges? I hope you know what I am talking about haha
Its kind of hard to describe BUT the edges of the invite look burnt. I have searched allll over and am coming up with nothing...
Hope you ladies can help and if yes, can you please tell me where you ordered them from!!!

I only have seen one book at work ( i work at a print shop) that has frayed edges not burnt. I am not sure if you would find this (outside)of looking at a specialty designed wedding invitation by a designer. Its so not controllable so it is not a reproducable item in mass quantity. What you could do is instead of real burnt edges is scanned in a burnt edge of a paper and do a fake finish to the edges but as i stated I haven't seen any inviation books/online that offer that.

OUrs were kind of like that not burnt but fray/uneven with silver lining.....hmmm don't know if I have a picture. Can't really tell in this pic....
ETA: ours were Birchcraft (ordered them where we live in VA at Greetings & Salutations)

try searching theknot.com. they have links to several online invitation companies. i think i know what you're talking about. they have a deckled edge finish. i believe i have a link to a site on my home computer that has a bunch of them for pretty cheap. i'll send you a link of it when i get home.

Never seen them but we did do burnt edeges for a friends weddign a few years ago-was a beach theme so we did the whole message in a bottle. Just took invites on yellow stock and then literally burnt the edges after they were printed and ready to go. We wanted it to look a bit uneven so it worked but I will say this; TIME CONSUMUNG and NOt an exact science so be warned if you try it.

A friend of mine actually did them herself....ask me how, I don't know... But it looked great. I'll ask her when I see her tonight.

ok, not sure if this helps. if in burnt, you mean torn and deckled, then you can check these sights out. if it's not, then i apologize for misunderstanding you.
