Burtons......

How many of you have gone there to look at dresses? What were your experiences?
Oh more importantly...Where are they?
I took off Wednesday and me and my mom are going to go dress shopping.

Oh yeah.....how many dresses did you girls try on before deciding?
Im afraid to try on too many for fear that I might not be able to make up my mind!!!

I found my dress elsewhere and then I called Burton's to get a price. They beat the price I originally got by $1400 and they included alterations. They dont have a big selection there so my advice is to find the dress you like and call them for a price qoute. Talk to Carole- she is very helpful. Burton's is located in Melville on Route 110 before the Walt Whitman Mall heading South.

Oh and the place I went to try dresses on- I tried on the first dress and it was the one- I never thought that would happen. I then tried on a lot more dresses but the first one was it

I used Burtons for my sister's wedding, and then when I found my dress (only one shop on LI actually had a sample) I called them for a price. They beat the other dress shop by a large margin, so I ordered from them. They have been nothing other than helpful.

If you want to check out dresses there, make sure you call for an appointment - the shop is very small and can't really accomodate walk-ins.

Oh, and Burton's is SOUTH of the mall on the west side of Route 110. You will need to make a turn at the PizzaHut (as if you were going to PizzaHut) and follow that road (I can't remember the name of the street on that side of 110 - but it's Schwab Road on the other side - it might be the same) to Old Walt Whitman Road, then make a left onto Old Walt Whitman Road and park on the street - because the entrance to Burtons isn't on Route 110.

I tried on a bunch before finding 'the one.' I had it narrowed down to three...then took my dad for his opinion and there was a clear winner! Don't worry abou trying on too many...one will stand out.

Word of advice though.. they only do fittings wed, thurs and sat and the sat's get booked FAST. So you really need to be fliexible with appoibtment times and if you get your BM dresses there make sure they are avaiable to go during those hours.

I had a wonderful experience there and carole went out of her way for me MANY times.
