Burtons

My daughters moh's are consdering ordering their gowns from Burtons. Anyone with information about them? How are they to work with? How are they with alterations? Are their measurements accurate when ordering dresses or do they order larger then have to do major alterations?

Hi there! I just ordered my BM dresses there and they were terrific! Totally flexible, like when one of my OOT BM's left her checkbook in NJ, they allowed her to send in her check. They are great!

I got my dress, and all of the BMs dresses from Burton's - I think they're great! All the dresses came in, and one of my BMs got her fitting at the same time as me, and it seemed pretty true to size. She has to get it taken in, but she was in between sizes so they ordered the larger size (always do that)

They're alterations cap off at $45, so there's no reason for them to order them really big - cause they're not making any $$ on more alterations! They are really nice, and very reasonable to work with IMO.

I don't they order big on purpose - they order according to the dress size chart which for my girls was completely off. We had bill levkoff dresses and two of my girls ordered smaller than what was recommended. It worked out ok. THere hours for alterations aren't very flexible and my girls who had their dresses altered elsewhere came out fitting better. They have one seamstress who does all of the work - which there is alot of.
