Burtons and Pedastals brides....

I'm going to meet with both florists this weekend. Is there anything I need to know in advance? Also, can anyone tell me of their experiences with them?

Burtons was great! I walked in without an appointment, which i found out i needed one, but carole accomodated me right away. she asked me what i needed, showed me lots of books, explained what flowers would work for a summer wedding, wanted to know about what i had in mind, looked through the pictures i had torn out from magazines and i left feeling confident. the next day i booked! My florist is Pedestals and they're great. I'm working with Joe. All of the employees are very friendly and are willing to work with you. My advice is to have an idea of what kind of centerpieces/bouquets you would like. Pictures from magazines definately help as well.

We are using BURTONS and have had great experiences thus far. Mike & Jill are great to work with and really know their flowers! They charge you the same price, no matter what type of flower you want & they do exculsively weddings. good luck & let us know how it went!

We booked with Burton's. I found them to the most resonable in $$. She will want to know how many BM's, MOH, Mothers, Fathers, Readers, Grandparents, GM, Best Man, and church flowers. From there she will work up a price and if you are on a budget, let her know. I know there flowers are gorgeous, because my sister and a few friends have used them in the past. You get any choice of flowers for all the same price. If you want to book with them that day, they just require a $50 deposit. If you live out of their delievery area, there is a fee of $50 as well. They were really nice and helpful, my vote would be for them

I used Burtons for my wedding. They are an OK florist for the amount of $ I spent. I was disappointed with their service. I didn't find them to be as details-oriented as I would have liked. See my review for specific details (Review starts at the bottom half of the page at the link below:

We used Burtons. No problems, beautiful flowers that looked beautiful all night, great prices!!

Orchids and Lily of The Valley are MUCH more expensive than roses or stargazer lillies
How can they do that?

I haven't met with Burton's yet but I might.

I did meet with Pedestals. I liked Joe a lot but am still undecided about which florist to use. I think he really tries to do what you want but the prices are high in my opinion so I'm still looking.

I looked at both and used Burton's. I loved my flowers. I thought that Pedestals was much more expensive. My sister is using them Burton's for her wedding next month. I will let you know how they come through for her wedding!

Either they are overcharging you for the Roses and Stargazer Lily or they are undercharging you for the Orchids and Lily of the Valley.

EG. Rose = $2 a flower and Orchid = $6 a flower so they charge you $4 a flower.

We went to Pedestals and met with Sunny - no dice - we ended up using another florist.

I don't know about the other florist but we used Burtons for our wedding and they did an excellent job on our flowers. We were very happy with them and they were very nice and very helpful in picking the flowers.

We used Pedestal's for our wedding and they did an AMAZING job!!! The Bo-K's, centerpeices EVERTHING was perfect beteer than we even expected

One thing I liked about Burtons was that for their bouq, you can have any style and any flower. Mostly the other florist charge depending on the type of flowers you chose. I was very happy with Burtons.

I booked with Burtons and so far so good. I really liked Jill she was very helpful and was very excited when I showed her my ideas. Just make sure you know the number of Fg's,GM, BM's etc. Oh and if your having readers don't forget to add them.
