Re: Burtons Question

My wedding is 8-29-03 and I am using them as well. I would call them if I were you. We are going this weekend to go over everything with Mike and then he will make a sample for us to see (at a later date of course)

Re: Burtons Question

I am not using them, but I suggest you give them a call.

I saw my sample centerpiece in April and I am goin back next month to look at another one as I have made some changes to it.

Re: Burtons Question

I find that odd, my florist let me see a sample two months ago.

Re: Burtons Question

That is way odd...... My florist is doing mine 3 months before. He needs 2 weeks advance notice to just order the flowers. What if they do your sample and you dont like it. They wont even have enough time to order the flowers, sounds a bit odd to me.

Re: Burtons Question

I used them and saw a sample the week of my wedding. I saw my sample and the color of the red rose was too dark. I asked them to change it and everything came out perfect on the day of the wedding. Try to make an appointment earlier in the week..that way if you want to make changes...you have time to see another sample before the wedding.

Re: Burtons Question

I'm getting married in a month and I called earlier this week to set up an appointment to see a sample and make a few changes to what I originally wanted. The woman who answered the phone was not really that nice and I was a little aggravated that they will only make a sample the week of the wedding.

Re: Burtons Question

Yes, it is the case with them. They only do a sample right before your wedding b/c that's when they've received your bulk order of flowers. Since they are not a regular florist they don't keep a stock of flowers on hand.

Re: Burtons Question

I do trust them b/c I've seen their work but I don't really like that I'll have to make sure they do it early that week

Re: Burtons Question

Curly, are you using Burtons? If so, I will definately talk to them about it. Thanks

Re: Burtons Question

OMG ! I would totally speak to them. What if you dont like one of the flowers that they show you and they dont have what you want. If they arent a regular florist they wont have an excess of flowers and i know i wouldnt want any left over flowers from the week before or anything. It just would make me think, thats all.

Re: Burtons Question

I saw my sample two days before the wedding, I loved it...but the day of the wedding it was even better than the sample! I was so pleased with them!

Re: Burtons Question

I am using them as well.... what they do is they sit with you about 2-3 months before your date and go over your styles and what kind of flowers you want.. unfortunately since they are a bridal wholesaler and see about 30-40 people a day, they cannot provide so many samples in a day. In addition to that, they may not have the flowers you want in stock that day. soooooo, that is why they provide a sample for you the week of your wedding. that's when your flowers come in and they are actually working on your wedding. when you see your sample...you are always free to change it and tweak it to your liking!
