Bustle...

I was told you are supposed to enter the reception with your dress unbustled for the first dance so people can see your train. I really don't want to hold my dress during the first dance, so I was wondering when are you ladies bustling your dress?

I thnk I've olny seenthat on tv.
Most people I know bustled durign the cocktail hour.

That's what I plan to do. They can see my train in the church!

I left mine unbustled for the first dance and let me tell you, it was a royal pain in the neck! I had a cathedral length train and that thing was HEAVY! If I did it all over again, I'd bustle before going into the reception.

I was undecided on this also but now after reading these replies, I am definitely bustling before the first dance... plus I love the way my gown looks when it's bustled!

I'm planning on leaving mine unbustled for the whole night -- well at least until it feels too heavy.

I bustled my dress before the first dance (actually before cocktail hour). I didn't want to take time away from the reception to go and get bustled.

I don't have a really long train , so I was debating this .. but I really don't want to look awkward during our first dance by holding it, so I'm going to bustle it between right before our reception starts.]

As the other girls said, everyone will get to see the train at the church anyhow

I am definitely bustling mine right after the ceremony. Everyone will see your train when you walk down the aisle.
