Have any of you been told that for bridesmaid dresses you can only do one type of bustle?
At Macy's Manhasset we were told that we can just do the bustle that goes under, not the one with the hooks on the outside so it lays against the dress on the outside. (Do i make sense?) We really don't like how it looks.
thoughts?

Re: Bustle for dresses
what? one type of bustle? that is madness...they are seamstress' they should be able to do what you want. i would ask them to do something else and tell you know they are capable of doing other bustles....one bustle haha please!

Re: Bustle for dresses
maybe its bc of the amount of fabic and length....i would imagine they are limited in what they can do b/c unlike a bridal gown, there is usually no train on bm dresses....maybe thats why they said that?? just a guess

This bm dress has a little train. She was just not nice and myself and the bride told her like 3 times that we did not like the bustle and pretty much she said tough, that's all that can be done.

I def would. She shouldn't have a snotty attitude with you...you are a paying customer and that is no way to sell her services if you ask me.

Re: Bustle for dresses
I think that sounds crazy. Seamstresses can do anything. Honestly, they sound inexperienced or almost like they don't want to be bothered. JMO.
