Bustle help (PICS)

i had my 1st fitting today and i really need help for bustling this dress... not crazy at all with how it is.

if you have a dress similar to mine (with asymmetrical pleating on the skirt), would you please post pics of how you bustled it? could definitely use some help here - thanks!

*** EDITED ***

had my 2nd fitting today, and a new seamstress, and she was able to do the bustle exactly how i wanted it (and thanks to a fellow LIW bride, i was able to show her a picture of the actual dress bustled similar to how i wanted mine).

the 1st pic is the old one, and the 2nd is the new one i had done today...

I think it look nice but if you are not happy that is what matters.

Can the bustle it the other way? I thin it is called an American or an English bustle.

that's the problem... the seamstress was having a hard time and didn't really know who else to bustle it b/c of the way it falls. thought if i could show her pictures of how other people did it, that might help??

I have an asymmetrical train also but my dress hasn't come in yet so I don't have and picture to help you

good luck!

Here's a pic from norajo's review.

If you think you like that I can look for a better pic for you!

did you consider a bubble bustle? that's when the dress flips inside itself, so it almost looks as if you removed the train, and doesn't impact the line of the dress. here are pics of what my dress looked like with the train, and then the bubble bustle. not the best pics, but hopefully you get the idea :)

what about using buttons and having them go along the diagonal? This way it just picks up on top?

not really sure what you mean... wouldn't the bottom hem of the floor then go upwards as well, or would it still be straight along the bottom?

I tried on an asymmetrical dress and when I asked about the bustle, they suggested buttoning it up in the direction that the dress is going. So rather than being in the back, it would be on either the right or left side.

I hope that makes sense and it helps a bit.

it was a 23 point bustle, so my BA had to do a lot of tying, but it wasn't hard. all the loops were pretty much in a line.

I haven't gone for my alterations yet, but one of the stores told me the buttons are typically $10 per button and normal bustles don't usually use about 10 buttons.

I know this is a special one, but I just wanted to throw that cost out there in case it is an issue. I'd def ask your people how much it is to do it and if this one is extra!

my bustle was a flat fee, regardless of number of buttons. so it depends on where you get your dress.
