How many times did you bustle up your dress during your day? Was it hard? How does it actually stay up, buttons? Hooks?
Thanks? Ive been wondering about this...

Re: Bustle--up and down
I just bustled up once on my wedding day---after the first dance. My bridal attendant was a pro at bustling and did it for me. It was held up by loops that hooked on to white --fabric buttons.

Doesnt it depend on the dress. I think my bustle is going to have ribbons going through the dress to hold it or something like that. I am having my MOH come with me so the seamstress can show her exactly how to do it

So you walked around with your train down? Did you hold it in your hands?

Yup, I had a long train and a catherdral length veil and held them up (draped over my arm) until after the first dance. Since I took pictures between the ceremony and the reception, I wanted my train to be visible at all times. It's not so bad !

I dont think my train is long enougt to have over my arms, and at the same time, my church is 2:30, my cocktail is at 7, and thats along time for that to be dragging around. Thats why I figure I will be bustling a few times during the day. I just hope its not too hard.

You will be fine! I took my MOH w/me to the bridal salon so she could learn how to bustle it. First my seamstress showed her how and then had her practice a few times. Depending on what type of bustle you have, it should be simple enough. Oh, and I'm sure your bridal attendant has some knowledge of bustling like mine did, just in case!!
