Busy Weekend
Hey girls,
What a whirlwind weekend.
Friday night (as you all know already) was my b-day. I was down in the dumps about turning 40. FH (after being a total jerk earlier in the week) showed up at work w/ perfect bo-k of flowers. He took me out to dinner (told me to get 'dressed up'). I had this totally awesome dress I bought on sale for $10 a year ago and never wore, that I decided to throw on. (it required a little quick alteration since I have lost 25 pounds since I bought it). Well, the dress is white. He couldn't stop telling me all night how beautiful I looked, and I kept thinking - wow, this is how it will be a year from now, me in a white dress, him all dressed up. It was the MOST amazing feeling!!!!!!
Saturday morning we went to meet with yet another photographer (number 6). He was perfect!!!!!! A really great fit for us.
YEAH!!! I have a photographer.

I then FINALLY managed to drag my MOH out of the house to look for a christening gown for my niece. We went to a few stores, found nothing, but I managed to convince her to go look at BM dresses!! YEA!!! I found only one that I liked, so I now have to get my out of town girls to find it and try it on. (I have since ordered christening gown online)
Today was my e-party. Mom hosted. I was originally upset that she said I couldn't invite friends b/c she wanted it to be a 'meet & greet' his family. I mean afterall, I just turned 40 and she picked today to hold it and NO friends?!?!?!?!!? Well, my mom totally out did herself. She made the most amazing food. FH is Italian, we're spanish. She went nuts. Appetizers ranged from chicken satay to antipasta. She made chicken parm and pasta and meatballs and Italian roast pork from this new Italian cooking magazine she got, and roasted potatos. Then she had this wonderful cake filled with canoli cream!!! FH made mudslides. Mom bought 6 bottles of champagne. The whole thing was amazing. Only bad part, both FH and MOH (my sis) forgot their digital cameras.
I pulled out my 35 MM, but I think the only pic we got is of us cutting the cake. My SIL bought us the most amazing champagne flutes!! They are lead crystal with a really think stem in an unusual shape. GORGEOUS!!!!!! And now I don't have to register for, or buy toasting flutes!! ![]()
