I don't know about any of you ladies but if I hear my family say this phrase one more time I think I will scream. I was married at 23 and it ended in divorce in 1996. I was fortunate to find a wonderful man who loves me and treats my 7 year old son as though he were his own. My fiancee has never been married and is the last one in his family to be married (he is 33 i am 36). While his family is so excited mine is so BLAH.. Yes we are having a traditional wedding in February and all I hear from my family is yup you guessed it, you were marrried before why r u doing this or that? I can understand if we were asking them to help out, but we are paying for everything on our own.
Any suggestions
Hope this helps! Elizabeth

But You Were Married Before
Just because you were married before doesn't mean that you are not entitled to have a celebration the second time aroung. Plus you fi hasn't been married before, so it's his first time and he deserves a celebrations! Fuhhhh on everyone else, and you do what you want, its you celebrations. People have a funny way of being thoughtless some times. I'm sure as the day gets closer, your family will be more enthused.
