*Buyers Beware**

Hi Ladies, i have a nightmare of a story. I purchased my wedding gown from Le Bella Couture in Dobbs Ferry about a year ago, when i went for my fitting the dress was 4 sizes too small. I went to her recommended alterations specialist Leah, and she was shocked at the way the dress fit. She told me it was impossible that this was my dress, because even if i gained weight(which i didn't) the dress would still have at least a couple of inches that would be able to be taken out. The owner agreed to send the extra material so that i could have the back redone to fit correctly, she never did, it's been two months now and still no material. I'm shaking & in tears because as of today still no material and no dress, mind you my wedding is this Saturday... This lady has given me the run around and its so unfortunate. The sweet alterations lady has tried everything to get my dress redone so i will at least have my gown, but because of the owner who constantly lies and is at this time avoiding me, i have nothing. She's gone so far as to open another store in another name because her current store in Dobbs Ferry has a terrible name now. The new name is Alexa Couture on Central Avenue. Please ladies be warned about her... And Michele i hope that you are reading this because you will be caught, you don't take someone's money and b s them around, you are unethical and dishonest....

I just want to tell you, one of my good friends got her wedding gown from them 3 years ago, and she had one hell of a time!! They were downright NASTY, and terrible business people!! I would NEVER go there. Girls, listen to the poster...this place is NOT good!

wow! very sorry to hear this!!! im glad you made a post about this and i hope you can run to DB and get a back up dress! and then report them to BBB asap.... give them hell back!

This is a terrible situation and if it were me I'd be in tears too. My only suggestion is go out today/tonight and see if maybe by a miracle you can get a sample gown from a store that may need only minor alterations if any at all.

I hope this all works out for you and you have a beautiful wedding day and a wonderful life with your new husband. Please keep us informed.

P.S. Be sure to write to the Attorney General's office and Consumer Affairs regarding this and include everything you have said here and the name of the alteration lady. You very well may get your money back once they here about this.

That's definately your best bet. I was in DB the other night and some girl was in there in tears cause she ordered her dress from another place and they said it was discontinued a week before her wedding. Apparently the dress she's had her fittings in was a sample all along.

But DB helped her out and she acutally found a beaufiful sample off the rack, in good condition an she was saying it was better than the other dress! Maybe it was fate... a crappy way to find it but at least she did. Lucked out.

This is one of the worst things I have ever heard. Can you see if the Black & White store or J-Crew that also sell bridal dresses can overnight something ASAP? It might not be your dream dress...but something pretty that fits. I am so sorry you are going through this!!! Let us know how it works out!

Call Kleinfeld's ASAP and ask to come in and see their sample and stock dresses and tell them you need it by Saturday. They have lots of samples available for immediate sale and are wonderful to work with.

yes definatley try davids bridal if they have a dress you like in your size you can buy it right off the rack.

they can also check other stores for you too just in case you find one and they dont have your size theyll tell you what stores do

I am so so sorry that you have to deal with this on the week of your wedding!!!

I'm going to agree with the other girls and recommend David's Bridal... they have so many dresses you could buy off of the rack! I hope it all works out for you!

I am so sorry that you have to deal with this so close to your wedding. This is terrible that they did that to you. You need to report them and try and get some money back. Good luck to you. I will be thining about you this weekend. Go find another dress and enjoy your day. Good luck to you again.

I'm so sorry!!!! All the advice the previous brides posted is excellent.. definitely report them to all the agencies you can think of, and try another store for another dress. And most important...please don't let this ruin your special day. If you need a great seamstress let me know...my seamstress was working on my dress the day before my wedding so she definitely can handle the pressure!!!!

OMG!!! I am sooo sorry to hear about this!! I don't know what size you are, but I do have an extra wedding gown that I got from a show I did (long story)...I was going to try and sell it, but if you need it that badly, I'd be happy to pass it along!! It's very pretty, but just too simple for my taste...I'm going to try to post a picture. I think it was a size 6, it's from David's Bridal. Let me know if you're interested!! And if not, good luck!! oh no! This sounds like one of those bad wedding dreams i've been having most nights.

I hope everything works out. I can't believe that a place could get away with crap like this!! It's unbelievable.
