BUYING A HOME IS SOOOOO HARD!!
Okay so....I came to a conclusion that buying a home is harder than it looks..ha!!
I live in Pittsburgh and me and my fiancees lease is up December 1st. We figured we'd start looking online and researching options to know what to expect, ect. Its frustrating cause the market in general is so bad that I feel no one is selling cause the same houses are always for sale!! The same cruddy ones too that need sooo much work that are in our price range.
Sooooo this weekend we were driving buy and there was a model home for Ryan Homes (they are a national builder i think). The local builder in Pittsburgh is good (I hear). We realized that to buy a new townhome (3 br 2.5 bath) would be right around the same price of buying an old home. It seems like a nice option being able to build (we cant afford the fancy add-ons but who really needs those for a first home). I feel buying a new home is a tough choice because the first year or two the value always goes down due to it being used and people rather just buy their own 'new home' instead of acquire someone elses for same price in those developments. Also townhomes are sometimes ify (although I dont know much about them). Although at least it is in a developing area where they are building a lot of new stores so my hope is when that happens the housing value will increase in the area...
ugh..buying a house is so hard..anyone have a new house and/or townhome and happy/unhappy with it? Figured id just start a housing talk thread..im sure im not the only one looking for a home soon!
