I am so excited! I've known which dress I was going to get for a few months now but haven't ordered it yet (trying to loose some weight first) but I don't want to wait any longer. I was thinking about getting it this weekend, but since a lot of stores carry it, privet label, I'm not sure where to go. Helens bridal in commack (the one with wedding world) is an average price but they are throwing in the veil free, and they will order it a size smaller (failure on this diet will no longer be an option) the only thing I am really worried about is alterations. Has anybody used them, know someone that did? Or know a place that will give me a better price (the veil is like $400) that does good alterations? I'll post pics of the dress once its 'official' TIA!!!!

Unfortunately I don't know much about Helens but my suggestion is to get on the phone and start calling some places that might carry the dress. I waited a few weeks t order my dress. I know that Bridal Elegance has extremely competitive prices and heard great thngs about the alterations but I don't know if they carry that brand.
If they throw in the veil, i'm sure other places can or would be willing to do the same in order to get your business. The only way to find out is to try!!!!
I have concerns about the veil now that i've bought the dress. I have no clue where to even begin to look for one.
My sister mentioned that someplace like Estelle's might have one relatively inexpensive. I'll probably check it out in time.

I would definately call around and price the gown at other places. I have a lot of friends who have used a specific seller on ebay for veils and have gotten GORGEOUS ones for $19 +S&H

I was looking at a private label (but ultimately decided on another dress since the private label dress was a co-workers as well), and phyllis at bridal elegance/gownfind.com came in at least $250 less than any other vendor. Bridal suite in centereach is somewhat flexible and will match most prices (except for phyllis)
