Re: Buying Negatives?
We paid $50.00 for our negatives and were able to purchase them after we had received our albums.

Most of the photographers we spoke to dont give it to you for free..you pay for it regardless..usually those who 'give' them to you already have this built into their fee.

I am paying for mine! They are good to have to get them enlarged in the future. I am going to make albums out of them in the future as well. Probably for my bridal party with time.

yeah, my answer depends on the fee structure - in one case i was willing to pay up to $200 for the negatives. the photographer i wound up booking included them in his package, so i don't know what his breakdown is...

We are getting ours for free as well (well, they are included in the package-- nothing is free!) :)

FI is a photographer and he says ALWAYS buy your negatives no matter what. He says that the one time price will save u a world of heartache. What if the photographer dies or goes out of business? Then what?

Re: Buying Negatives?
I would never do business with a photographer that charged for the negatives. They are your pictures!!! You paid for them already!! Once you order the album - the negatives are yours (or at least they should be) This photographer is sketchy (sorry - I saw 9 photographers and none charged for negatives)
