I was thinking about buying slippers/sandals by the end of the summer and holding onto them for next year, because I figure at the end of the summer these types of shoes would be a lot cheaper? Does anybody know where to look for these - I was thinking about taking a trip to nyc chinatown area and try to get them there, I only wanted to spend like $1-2 per pair. Anything that could point me in the right direction would be appreciated!

Can you please tell me where you got the slippers in Astoria? I have a relative who said they would pick them up for me. Are they the Chinese mesh ones? What colors and sizes did you get if you don't mind me asking? Thanks
I bought 75 chinese slippers for $1.50 each. I got assorted sizes but in 2 colors, black and dark red. I basically walked in and out of shops until someone agreed to the $1.50 per pair price I wanted. This was about 3 weeks ago.
