Buying wedding bands...

Hi all- How far in advance do you buy your wedding rings? What does it usually run for men's/women's plain bands (platinum)...I am clueless. I already know because we're on such a tight budget that the ring of my dreams is out of the question right now :(. I figured maybe for our 5 year anniversary I can get what I've always wanted...Thanks in advance! :)

try asking my fi, after all he's just down the hall. I don't know how you feel about it, but his dad could probably find what you are looking for for a great price. If he can't come up with anything, try some other place. I hope you didn't take this the wrong way. Not trying to stir up business for him. We just picked ours up from Fortunoff - we got 2 platinum bands. They had to be ordered and they took about 3-4 weeks. We then had them engraved and picked them up a week later. So, you probably don't want to wait until the last minute.

His band was around $850 I think and mine was around $750. If you register at Fortunoff, you will save 10% on the price of the bands. We are very happy with them.

We got comfort fit platinum bands...

Hubby's is 6mm wide (heavy!) - $650. Mine's 3mm wide - $325. My jeweler includes the engraving.

Yes, we got them engraved at Fortunoff - the cost depends on how many letters you want engraved. Depending on the size of the band, they will tell you how many letters will fit. Ours were about $20.00 each for our initials and the date.
