Hey Girls. I saw a gown at David's Bridal that I really liked and it was very inexpensive. My problem is I am getting married in June 2008. Do you think the dress would turn yellow? Also, I don't want to get alterations down at David's Bridal. Do you think I could bring it to a bridal store and have them do the alterations and keep the gown until I need it? HELP

If I were you-I would buy it now and store it yourself-as long as you are not a smoker and no one smokes in your place-otherwise I would store it at your parents or at the bridal shop you choose to do alterations at. Congrats!

as long as you keep the dress in a dark room, wrap it in a white sheet.. youll be good.. i got mine in feb 06 for my april 07 wedding... in three weeks its leaving my house so i can't try it on anymore ... its goign to live at phyllis's b/c thats where im getting my alterations... you should be fine as long as theres no direct sunlight or smoke near it

I bought mine over a year before my wedding and had no problems with it yellowing. As for alterations, I wouldn't go to a bridal salon. Their alterations cost an arm and a leg, especially if you don't buy your gown from them. I hear Phyllis from gownfind is very good! I got my dress altered at a dressmaker and she also did a good job!
