Hey Girlies -

It's Monday and it's time for our new letter of the week...

C for CENTERPIECES!

If you already know what you are planning on doing, please attach pic.

If not, what are some of your ideas?
Floral or non floral?
High or Low?

Let's see um ladies!

Here are mine. My colors are green and yellow and I love the idea of using lemons in the decor. Makes everything look so fresh and bright. I showed these to FI and he loved them right away!

I love your centerpiece!!!!!

So, this is one area where I'm definitely trying to keep the budget low. I think I'm going to only do candles. I think its such a warm, romantic look. I'm doing a peacock theme, so I was thinking about laying the peacock feathers sticking out underneath the candleholders.

something like this....but maybe with a little more height

Tables are long oval shaped. I think I might use two or three smaller pieces on each table, mixed high, medium, & low highs, with candles in between.

We're doing candle centerpieces as well. I think that with the hall (Riviera hopefully) the candles will bring a really warm glow into the room.

Our colors are black and white w/red accent. So what I found online isn't EXACTLY what I want, but it's in the right direction.

We'll probably put rose pedals all around the bases of the candles and use a white flower for in the water on the big candle and red for the smaller candles.

YAY

Yeah the Riviera can get kind of dark inside so you definitely need something to brighten it up (hence all my yellow). I am most likely going to put candles around the CP as well.

Yea, I love the darkness of it there. I swear it makes me feel so comfortable lol That's the only word I can come up with right now. I loved the pic of your centerpieces. I really like the way the yellow pops when you put it up against anything! That's why I'm doing the red accents with the black and white. Red will pop out in all the pics. Plus, if you read my Something borrowed response you'll see I'm adding red in not only because i like it but because I'm Superstitious. We believe red keeps the horns off you. I don't need any bad wishes coming my way that day lol

We're going to have all high cherry blossom centerpieces!!! LOVE CBs!! Here are some sample pics. We're definitely going to have the pillar candles around the base of the vase like in the second picture.

I'm doing all tall centerpieces.

I want a giant arrangement of either dark blood red roses or dark blood red giant zinnias. with ivory accent flowers throughout.

Also at the base of all the tall centerpieces I'm going to have about 5 or 6 candles lit.

LOVE everyone's pics and ideas!!!! I am so excited over mine its so sad haha

So the pedestal is going to be the spiral that has candles going up the spiral with a square bottom...So with the square bottom we are having a low arrangement sit on it...and then on top we have the high arrangement (pics in album of some of the flowers to be used---he didnt have all of them to show me bec not all the flowers were in season when we booked)....there will be crystals hanging down from it and votives on the table as well....so its like a low and high cp all in one...

swoon...cant wait!!

Right now we are leaning towards booking the Fox Hollow WGP room and when I see that room I automatically think Candles!

Instead of regular flower CP I was thinking of placing candelabras at each table and maybe scatter some petals at the base.

I don't know how to post the pictures here but I put one in my album.

PS- All your centerpieces are AWESOME!

All of your centerpieces are gorgeous!

Our tables are oval too so I'm thinking a few smaller centerpieces to coordinate with the bo-Ks
which will look something like this:

Is there an A thread? I tried to find it, I looked many months back... A is for ,,, what?

I wanted huge floral centerpieces but they are so expensive. I'm trying to think of a unique way to incorporate candles to supplement.

Thanks I felt so dumb I couldn't find it. Question about centerpieces... I like the look of high centerpieces... but I kind of feel that it will ruin conversation at the table, since it kind of separates things or blocks it rather. What do you all think? I'm torn now on whether i should get high or low
