Does the sand make the water cloudy???

You can probably buy the special fish tank sand.

Yeah, I was hoping not to

My Fh and I came up with the idea of just flushing it with water, straining and flushing. That should take all the salt, yuck out????

Or making them the night before and letting sit?

I am going to make first one this weekend, before the party next weekend

I think that if you make it the night before it will be too hard to transport.

Maybe if you put the water in first, and put the sand in very slowly? Do a test run and let me know what happens.

Otherwise, those glass marble things are nice and you can get them cheap at michaels.

what about using rocks/pebbles instead of sand? you'll still get the same affect- i think

You could also fill it up with shells instead of sand...

What I was planning was Sand, then Shells. (made a VERY mini theme of end of summer/beach/Coast Guard Boat cake)

I am reusing them and doing marbles for wedding, so on bar, cake table, and accents around the hall.

If it stops raining maybe I can finally get the sand
