Cabelvision, io, dish satellite what do you have and are you happy?
We just got our huge tv in!! MY FI wants to know what is best out there. All I know is Cabelvision but what do you have and are you happy with it? How much are you paying a month?

I'm just on io website and the two packages they have are very $$ the gold is 84.95mo and silver is 64.95 I don't know if I'm cheap or what :0( I think thats crazy, If you don't mind me asking you guys what do you have and how much average do you pay a month?

We have direct TV and are very happy w/it. However, the dish and receiver were here already when we bought the house, so we only had to pay to turn the service on - very simple and no hassle. We only use Cablevision for the computer modem.

I have directtv and I am very happy. We are though going to be changing to IO because they offered us a special price for the Gold Package since we are directtv customers. Still thinking about it because the offer stands for one year but I figure I use them for the special price for the year than go back to directtv just to save a little $$.

Originally we had cable and were miserable. SO for the past year and a half we have had Direct TV and we are much happier. We get more for our $$.

Honestly I don't know what we're paying per month.. FILs pay the cable, FH and I just pay for the Optimum Online.. but I do know we have almost the biggest package w/the most add ons available.

Very happy with IO, but I am biased. FH gets it for free. He works for Cablevision. Anything for free is good

we are very happy with dirrect tv... however with satellite i have heard many people dont like the dish..
we almost switched to cablevision since we just got optimum online and it would be cheaper, but when we called up direct tv they lowered the rates for us to stay

I have heard the compaint that satillite goes out alot, but we have not had that problem.

I have DirecTv dish and Fh has io.... he has more channels, but my service is much more reliable, I never have those 'digital bullets' on the screen & do not have problems with the sound....and I have had the satellite since before this heinous winter. I never lost service.
IO has more channels, but they do not always come in clearly depnding on where you live. alot of the time HBO becomes blacked out on his system. Also, my service is a lot les$$.
The only thing I did not like about the satellite is that I couldn't get it for my internet service b/c I have a mac & it is not programmed for mac OS yet.

We have the satellite and we love it. I guess we have been lucky because we have heard bad things about it going out in the storms and it happened maybe once or twice since we had it intsalled three years ago.

I haven't had any problems with the iO except that once in a while the channel guide goes out.. other than that, perfect for us.

We have iO and really like it, but we live in an apartment complex where you're not allowed to have a dish (even though there are quite a few people that have them mounted on their balconies...). Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

We have satellite (DirectTV) and its great!
The reception does go out for about 5 minutes when a very bad storm goes over my house. Its only 5 minutes every few weeks so it doesnt bother me at all. When we had regular cable, our reception would occassionally go out for 1-2 DAYs and that was really annoying.

we have IO and Optonline and LOVE IT~!!!
we have 5 tv's hooked up (5 boxes) and 3 computers plus 2 wireless laptops and have never had a problem!! we can even surf in the backyard!!
Our monthly bill is (now with the increase) $130
The only 'Pay' channel that we have is HBO

We have IO and it is pretty cool. I have had satellite in the past and the broadcast channels don't come in so you wind up with Cable anyway.
