Cabinet Refacing

Cabinet Refacing

Anyone have this done or look into it? I just got a quote and it was 4,500. My kitchen is so small, so I assumed it would be less. Literally I have 6 top cabinets and a 3 cabinets below and a few drawers. This includes a formica countertop.

We dont want to spend that much because we aren't planning on being here more than 2years.

I am just not sure if it is worth it for refacing?

ThankS!!!

I just got brand new cabinets for not much more than that. (see post below for pictures)

WHy dont you try to do it yourself? You could buy everything you need at Home Depot or Lowes, they both have refacing supplies/cabinet doors, etc. That's what we're doing. The prices aren't bad at all.

For that price .. it may not be a bad investment if you are looking to turn around and sell the house not too far down the road.

On Designed to Sell .. they always say Kitchens & Baths sell houses.

Maybe get a few more estimates .. and check around for coupons. I've seen coupons from Sears .. Century 21 (I think) .. and I know others .. I just can't recall the company names.

I had the cabinets in my galley kitchen refaced. 2.5 years ago it cost me $2,700 for cabinets, counter-top and installation of a new sink.
