My Fiance used to. I beleive overall it is a good company if you are in the right position. He liked it and in certain areas you get free cable.

I don't work for them, but I know that employees get free cable! I think that's awesome! Good luck!

My DH is an engineer who works on all the big poles. The company is great to work for...awsm benefits (medical, dental) that cost virtually nothing, free internet, cable and phone, but there are discounts all over for being an employee! Lots of luck!

I know of someone that works there in tech support and they are open 24/7 , 365 days.

Re: Cablevision?

No they're not...DH gets off for almost every holiday with the exception of easter and if that holiday falls on his day off such as Columbus Day being on a Monday, he gets the following day off too.

Re: Cablevision?

I recently applied and was called back but it was only for customer service and the pay was minimal...like $10/hr - they definitely offer free cable/phone/internet to employees !

Re: Cablevision?

I need more than $10!!!! Is that all it is??? I need to start somewhere at least at $15!

Re: Cablevision?

It depends on the position. They offered DH's cousin $15 to start and now shes up to $23....shes been there about three years

09'er crashing. FMIL works for Cablevision. She gets free cable (everything from soup to nuts) and the overtime is great! She started in customer service years ago and now she's a manager at one of their stores.

The tech department is open 24/7, 365 days. I'm not sure if that is customer service also, but it is worth checking out.

I think she started out as, like, a customer service rep. But I don't think there are many options when starting out at that company (unless you're applying for a specific corporate position). I think you first wind up at a call center and go from there. That's the way she explained it to me. She also said they hire up from the inside (unless you're going to be a technician or something. In that case, I think it's completely different).

I used to work there. The benefits are great, free cable and internet and a discount on phone service (at least that is what is was when I was there...). If you work in a technical job you run the risk of working a 24/7 job but all office jobs and call centers are normal business hours.

I worked for News 12.
