I'm considering cabo for my hm, but I really love the beach. i heard that the water is really rough and that it isn't swimmable, but i also heard that there is one beach called medano that is swimmable...does anyone have experience with medano beach? was it really swimmable? was the water rough? I really don't like big/rough waves at all!

My Brother and SIl went there for their HM and said they could not go in the water because it was rough. As for Medano Beach they don't have experience with it sorry but they loved Cabo and are going back next year for their 5 year anniversary. They stayed at the One and Only and loved it!!

one and only is on medano beach (it was one of the hotels i was looking into)..and they advertise that their beach is swimmable..maybe it was the time of year/tide? anyone else?

My fiane (boyfriend at the time) went to the resort that has the swimmable beach.
It's the Melia Cabo Real. It actually made the Travel Channel's top 10 Mexican Resorts.
Melia Cabo Real was a great resort - all-inclusive with an awesome pool and the beach was good too!!!
We didn't even know that the water was unswimmable everywhere else.
They built an inlet and the water is really calm - you can just float.
And the scenery there is to die for. You have to take a glass bottom boat ride to El Arco. Gorgeous natural beauty - and you turn the corner around the rocks and seals are everywhere! It was AWESOME!!!!

We went to Cabo for our honeymoon. The beach we stayed on was unswimmable but they had transportation to and from all their other resorts. Three of their other resorts were on Medano Beach which is swimmable.
We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Spa. It was gorgeous
I would highly recommend Cabo.
There are a ton of other resorts on Medano Beach

i went to cabo a few yrs ago for my bday. we stayed at Marina Fiesta, and were able to walk to Medano beach. Yes its swimmable, but a little rough. but i do not recommend swimming anywhere else in Cabo. Esp divorce beach or lovers beach by the arch.. you will drown. You can google these beaches and read up on them. But Cabo was the best vacation I have ever been on. So much to do!!!
