Cabo End of July/Early August

So FH and I are deciding on doing Cabo for our honeymoon but I am curious if anyone has gone down there during the end of July/Early August? How is the weather? Is it too close to hurricane season?

Anyone stay at the Riu Palace?

Any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! =))
FM me anything too! =)))

Re: Cabo End of July/Early August

I went last summer in August and the weather was beautiful! We didn't have any rain at all. It was def hot, but not too hot to sit in the pool all day!

We didn't stay at the Riu, but we saw it. It's really pretty and looks like a fun place. It's huge.

Hi! I've been twice but never in July or August, Feb and April.

I stayed at the Westin once, the Riu this past time (last Feb).

I know other brides on here stay there alot and while the Riu is GORGEOUS, the food STUNK.

We ate 'off campus' alot which is a shame when you're paying for an all inclusive.

Also there are two parts of the Riu there, one is the Santa Fe? And the Palace. I stayed at the Palace which is nicer (supposedly, I didn't venture to the Santa Fe).

I should add the grounds are AMAZING, the pools are wonderful, the cocktails are lovely. We had an excellent time, I just didn't think the food was up to par. HTH! FM me if you have more questions!

Re: Cabo End of July/Early August

Found this on Trip Advisor (I also posted a LONNNNNNNNNG review there and I would read about the Riu on there)

Los Cabos has beautiful weather during all twelve months of the year, with the average temperature in the winter being in the 70's. During the summer months the average temperature climbs up into the 90's, not getting as hot as other parts of Mexico at the same latitude due to its coastal location. Most people choose to come to Los Cabos during North America's cooler months, from November through May, to escape the cold weather. During the off-season in Cabo, travelers can expect to find discounts of up to 25% on hotels, resorts, and flights.

Los Cabos can be prone to hurricanes and tropical storms. Visitors to the region during hurricane season (June - November) should tale care to check weather and storm forecasts before they leave. Up to date storm information can be obtained online at the National Weather Service's Tropical Prediction Center.

I stayed at the RIU and had a great time. The Riu is in the perfect location, you can take a taxi into town and be there in 2 minutes. The hotel is a lot of fun and has decent food.

We went in the end of August and had perfect weather. I think the rainy season there is more towards the end of August beginning of September.
