DF and I went just for a normal vacation 3 years ago. (wow, that long ago!)
It is beautiful there! The beaches really aren't swimmable because they're so rocky. (Unless your resort says they have a swimmable beach)
Take a city tour - which took us to old san jose del cabo, and into downtown cabo, including a glass bottom boat ride around El Arco. It's incredible. And there were seals or sea lions hanging out on the rocks. it was awesome.
We also took a charter fishing boat out and we caught a mahi mahi and a marlin. good experience, minus the sea sickness.

thanks... that sounds awesome... my sister went with her fam a few years ago and they gave me a bunch of stuff... were really interested in snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, and stuff like that too
