Cactus Salon and Day Spa in Commack
Has anyone been here? They`re in the shopping center across the street from the Bonwit Inn and I was curious if anyone had any experience with them.

Cactus Salon ~ stylist Kristen 411
I was referred to Kristen at Cactus for my wedding day 'do. Anyone ever deal with her? She got rave reviews, but I'd figured I'd run a 'background check' with you girls. : )

Cactus Salon ~ stylist Kristen 411 ~ at which location??
JennRenee, I didn`t realize there were so many Cactus Salons around. There are even two in Commack. Which location is Kristen at? I ask out of curiousity, not because I think I might know which one she is. I just recently went to Cactus for a hair cut. The one across from the Bonwit Inn is fairly close to where I live, and I`d been considering trying them. Well, when the regular lady who cuts my hair at another salon wasn`t available, and with me being in desperate need of a haircut, I tried that Cactus Salon. While I didn`t like the way my hair was styled, I do like the cut. I have complicated hair that no one seems to ever be able to handle, so I wasn`t surprised when I wasn`t happy with how it was styled. However, this leaves me extremely concerned for my wedding day. There has not been once in all the years I can remember since I started wearing my hair in its naturally curly state, that I have left the salon thinking, 'wow, this looks great.' I wish I was talented at putting my own hair up!!

I was also talking about the Cactus across from the Bonwit. Is Kristen the one who did your hair? If she is, I'm going to cry! I understand what you are saying about difficult hair, because I have it as well. My hair is long, and very straight and fine, but I have a lot of hair which gives it the illusion of being thicker. It doesn't hold a curl for very long. I've already been for 2 trials, neither of which I was happy with, and now I'm broke and cranky.Welcome New Vendors
