Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
If the guests can't all see each other and the B&G, I don't think she'll want it there
I'm going to go see it tho'. If it's not too expesive maybe I could do her shower there?
Do you remember how expensive they were?
Thanks again

Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
Thanks ladies, I'll stop by on my way home and see if it's worth bringing her for 150 pplOr else, I'll consider it an option for her shower or Len's surprise bday party

Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
Misty, it's right off the Cross Island by the Throgs Neck Bridge. It's not the North Shore Towers - it's a stand-alone, beautiful building. I live right down the road from there. If it's that inexpensive, I should probably check it out for myself.

Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
Love this place. This is where we got engaged. We looked at having the wedding there. We got quoted better than $93 too
It's a beautiful place and there was a wedding going on the night I was there. We go there on special occasions. The only thing I didn't like (the room didn't bother me) was the community bathroom. Not that I mind sharing, but there were only 3 stalls and the 'line' leads right into the room. Didn't want that. Definitely worth looking into though- Good luck!

Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
I grew up in Whitestone and know the place well. It overlooks the Clearview golf course and is really very pretty. All green and white with white lights all around. The food is good. The only negatives I've heard is that it can get expensive and that the room set up is not ideal. Definitely worth checking out though.

Re: CAFFE ON THE GREEN (Cross Isl. Pkwy)
The room is split, and I thought that was a problem.... also they have no elevator, and when I asked how my Gradfather was supposed to get his motorized wheelchair up to the 2nd floor, the BM told me that the 'help will carry it up the stairs.' Um, no they won't.If you have a smaller party, like less than 100, you may be able to utilize the room well. It is a really pretty space with nice decor & a view of the golf course, and the Bridge, but I am having 200 people, so it would have been a problem for me.
