And I still don't know what to do??? I know he's only 1 year old, but it's still his 1st birthday but I want it to be special. I wanted to do something with him this weekend, but have no idea on what. I'm going to take him to the park, but what else can you do with a 12 month old? I really wanted to have a big party, but family lives out of state. HELP! I'm running out of time! Thanks!

Don't put so much pressure on yourself Melissa. Why not just go to the Park and come home and have a small cake with your DH? You don't need a big party to celebrate this special moment in your lives. Get a 1st birthday balloon and some paper plates that say Happy1st Birthday on them. Why not get Caiden a small gift, wrap it up, and sing Happy Birthday and blow out a candle and let him have a bit of cake- TAKE PHOTOS That will mean a lot to all 3 of you.
