Me too...they are just soooo expensive, but I love cake!
I had an outside cake....many others used the 'house' cake. some with great reviews, some with so-so reviews. In the end, use your own judgement...one of my decidign factors was the limited selection process...i was OK with how the flavors would be chosen...but absolutely appalled at how i was to choose it's overall appearance. you choose from 2 pictures and that's all the creative input you get. If you have dreams of what your cake will look like, go outside...no, you won't get a credit...but maybe right at the end, you can get something tossed in! good luck girls!!!!!
I was just talking to FH about this the other night. I told him about all the bed stuff I have heard, and he said that if an outside cake isnt' going to cost a lot then we can get it. I am sure that once he realizes the selection 'process' he will agree 100% with me!
An outside cake isn't all that expensive. It really depends on the amount of people you are inviting and if you are using fondant. Cake can be as inexpensive as $1.50 per slice to expensive at $7.00 per slice. It really depends what you decide on. Audry's is who I plan on using for my cake and I am going to see if SMCC will throw in a tray of cookies on each table since i won't be using thier cake.
