Cake appointment..

Cake appointment..

at Black Forest tomorrow.

I have no ideas at all for cake or flavors... anyone feel like making a suggestion?

Also.. anyone have any pics of cakes that would go with my theme (antique, golds, reds)

Do you want van or choc cake? I wanted choc cake w/ raspberry feeling, but then i felt it would be to much w/ the choc fountain, so we did van cake w/ 1/2 rasberry 1/2 choc mousse!!

I'm having a choc cake with Rasp filling and cannoli filling with whipped cream.

Jen,

I think the main q is if you want fondant icing (smooth, elegant) or buttercream/whipped cream.

Next, cake flavor (vanilla/chocolate)

Filling: I think canoli is a big one & perhaps mousse

I'm very curious how it goes/what to expect b/c we want to sit down w/ Tommy at some point next week.

We did a yellow cake with buttercream frosting on the outside and then we're doing strawberry filling on the inside!

We chose a vanilla pound cake with hazelnut filling, whipped cream icing, buttercream roses scattered on the three tiers and on top, and we're buying 1' satin ribbon to use at the base of each tier.

I'm not a big fan of wedding cake but it is at least going to look really good!

Jen, how did it go? Do they have a big book to go through? Did he spend a lot of time with you? Does he tell you what is/is not included? Thx.
