Cake! Check!
We went to Erga Bakery to upgrade our cake that is all ready included in our RH price. (and no other bakery got back to us about being able to accommodate our request)
I'm so happy they will work with the cake we want. We are getting a Tri-Color Cookie cake, and the upgrade price is sooo inexpensive compared to what we thought so we went with them. (no way would I have gotten that cake for under $200 - granted the rest is included in our RH so we were paying even if we went with another baker)
We were, however, a little disappointed in 2 aspects... the taste was missing some of the almond that is signature of the tri-color cookie and they would only add the chocolate to either all sides of the cake or just the top of each layer. We were hoping for two of sides of each layer to be chocolate covered and the other two open to see the cookie (just like a real tri-color cookie'
The texture of the cookie cake was great! the Service so far was good, and all the other cakes they had leaving that place looked amazing!
After the fact we thought of having 2 of the 4 layers totally chocolate covered and the other two with no chocolate so you can still see the tri-color cookie colors, but it's not over whelming. I have to call however, to ask if they can do this. Hopefully they can!
At least the cake is checked off the list and it saved us a whole lot of $ we thought we'd be spending!
