I've been engaged 4 months now and have recieved 3 sets of toasting flutes and 4 or 5 cake cutters! We had our engagement party last month and recieved ALOT! I wouldn't buy anything until after the shower... most likely you'll recieve multiple!!!

Re: Cake Cutter and Toasting Flutes
I registered for the lenox jubilee toasting flutes and got them at my shower. I never registered for a cake cutting set, so right before the wedding I picked up a plain silver set and had it engraved with our names and wedding date.

Re: Cake Cutter and Toasting Flutes
We did not register or buy either - my aunt gave us flutes from the crystal we chose to put on our registry - so I'll use those - if I remember to dig them out of the boxes or I'll just use glasses from the hall as well as the cake cutter

Re: Cake Cutter and Toasting Flutes
We received about 3 pairs of toasting flutes as gifts when we first got engaged and i returned all of them and then registered for the ones we really loved!
We also registered for the matching cake cutter.
Good luck!

Re: Cake Cutter and Toasting Flutes
I received only 1 set of toasting flutes from one of my BM's and I will be using those. I am sure that someone will buy me the cake cutter. If no one does my mom definitely will.

Re: Cake Cutter and Toasting Flutes
Yes, we got toating flutes with our monogram and my Mom got us cake cutting/serving set for my bridal shower with out names and the date of the wedding engraved on them.
Wait, doesn't the hall supply these things to use or we have to bring them in ourselves? More stuff to buy

I received them as gifts from my mom, but they certainly aren't necessary. You can just use what the hall provides.

My MOH both us toasting flutes for our engagement. I will probably register for the cake serving set . Hopefully I we will get it as a gift at the bridal shower. If not, I will probably get them from Things to Remember
