Cake cutting Songs

Hi- We are using 'Follow You, Follow Me' by Genesis. Unless you use the 'bride cuts the cake' song, there isn`t that same guest interaction with any other song. So just go with something you love. I know another popular one is 'when I`m 64' by the Beatles, I guess because of the line 'will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I`m 64'.

Kiss of Life, Sade-Elizabeth

I wanted the Kiss of Life by Sade to be my first dance song but my dj said it's hard to dance to and recommended we use it for cake cutting.

I love the song 'Your love' by Natalie Merchant. It goes something like this.. 'Your Love'

Just in case anyone planned to use this song it is by Sarah McLaughlin, not Natalie Merchant. I'm not sure but I think the title is Ice Cream. This is a great choice Heather!!! Thanks for the idea

Cake cutting Songs

We used a reprise of our first dance song, 'From This Moment'. It was nice to hear the song again, as it created a theme throughout the wedding. But, honestly, the cutting takes such a short time that you really don't notice what song is being played/performed. I happened to notice for a second, and only really noticed while watching the video. And, I'm SURE that no guest noticed what was being played. Only we brides worry about these tiny, little details. (All I know is that I didn't want that horrible 'The Bride Cuts the Cake' song!!!) Enjoy and good luck.
