Cake flavor

Cake flavor

What kind of cake are you girls having? I haven't given it much thought and now I have like a day to decide. I'll probably do spme sort of chocolate or red velvet. Do u pick one or two fillings? A nutella ( chocolate hazelnut) filling might be good. Hmm.
Anyone getting ganache on theirs?

I love the thought of a hazelnut filling that sounds so yummy.

I decided to let my FH and my 2 daughters pick the flavor of the cake as well as the design, they are doing this as a complete surprise for me. I'm not too sure if I'm brave or just crazy.

For mines each tier is going to be a different flavor. Can't remember what those flavors are right now but at the tasting they were really good. I'm also adding liqueur, very important !

Crashing... make sure you taste the hazelnut. I wanted it but when I tasted it I thought it was gross lol.

FH and I went to a wedding down in Maryland and had the BEST wedding cake ever! It was a lemon cake with a delicious lemony kind of buttercream. It sounds boring but it was so good we were debating on whether we should have that cake shipped up to NY lol

Yeah we weren't crazy about the hazelnut taste either.
We are getting ganache filling and white chocolate mousse filling. One layer chocolate cake one white etc. We tasted at Dortoni's because that's who the hall uses, if they don't make it themselves. They didn't offer different types of cake except, red velvet, chocolate or white.

I had devils food cake with hazelnut and oreo mousse! The hazelnut was UNREAL!! It actually had pieces of hazelnut and the oreo mousse had pieces of oreo! It was AMAZING!! I cannot wait to unwrap our cake on our first anniversary...I made sure to wrap that bad boy up REAL tight!!
