Cake Flavors

Cake Flavors

I know we have a while before we decide about this but I went to a wedding Sunday and they served chocolate cake with a white filling...yummy!!! I was thinking Red Velvet but heard it doesn't hold together well (don't want the added worry of my cake falling apart.) So, what cake flavor combos are everyone's fave?

That's too bad that Red Velvet doesn't hold up cuz I was hoping to have it on my day

The next best would be double fudge with milk chocolate fondant, then maybe plain white with almond buttercream...Mmm

Tell us how the wedding went on Sunday!

Re: Cake Flavors

I like your choices, and btw I'm going to look further into the deal with Red Velvet. The wedding Sunday was really nice. The colors were a kiwi green and the girls held beautiful garden blooms from Flowers By Brian. My friend had on a lace gown that fit perfect from Macy's and she got hair extensions which looked amazing. She also got compliments on her 'glow' (I did her makeup ) The ceremony was wonderful. They had an Irish opera singer and the bishop of Brooklyn was there. The reception was at Russo's on the Bay. There were a few other party's going on which made things a little confusing at first but once we were in the ballroom you couldn't tell. There was 11 choices for entrees and everyone was really pleased with the food.

11 choices Don't give me a menu with 11 choices cuz I'll be debating for hours! That's cool though.

...and you did the bride's makeup! OmG that's awesome! Do you do that professionally or are you just really good at it! Sounds like a nice wedding! Thanks for sharing

Re: Cake Flavors

Not a professional, I study cosmetics (the science of it) at school (FIT) and now manufacture makeup. The bride, my sisters' best friend, just really wanted me to do her makeup and am happy I did.
