We have all heard it from someone. Take the top of your wedding cake and put it in a freeze and thaw it out for your 1 yr anniversary. I'm not doing this. Though several people who have done this said it was good. (but I'm having canolli filling and I hate it when cake is moist from the filling, YUK!) So I ask, how many of you plan on doing this?

Re: Cake Freezing
I did it. Though DH complains that it takes up too much room in the freezer. I doubt it will taste any good despite how well I wrapped it but I'd really like to test the air-tight and liquid-tight seal of my Tupperware!

I don't think we're going to do this. I think we'll eat the cake when we come back from our HM. I asked friends about this and they said it tasted disgusting after the 1 year, they took a bite and then threw it out. We'll celebrate our 1 year with dinner at our hall.

what a good question!!! I never thought of this! I had always thought we would freeze it but thinking about it I don't think either of my sisters did this. We'll have room in our freezer we've got a huge one!
Advice??????? Who has done this?

That's what we're doing. DH said we should eat it at the 6 month mark. I'm thinking of having a mini replica of the top of our cake to eat on our 1 year.

We're doing it!! I've been looking forward to it since I was a kid and learned of the tradition.
