cake help!

I love all of theses cakes! I can't choose which one I want my wedding cake to be based on. Help! Remember my cake will not be white in any way shape or form. Its a medieval wedding and I'm no princess. I just want something really cool. Tell which you guys think I should do?

If I do cake four, instead of the horse and carriage I'm putting a mini stone henge

I picked cake 1, I think cake 2 looks a little princess-y.

I really love number three.. it gives off the vibe you're going for without being princessy...

I like #4 based on what you have shared with us on the type of wedding you would like to have. Though they are all stunning. How do you cut that?

I like them all but my favorite is #1 and #3. Did you find a bakery that can make one of those caked for you? They might be a bit pricey, a lot of detail. I don't know what type of budget you are on.

They really do not look like cakes at all.

I say #3. But I really like them all.

I talked to the baker at king kullans and I gave him a basic idea of what I want and for a hundred people he told me around $200. If the cake is pricy then I'll just get a smaller cake and then order a sheet cake. Because yes I'm on a budget of $5,000. I doing it so far.

That's a really smart thing to do! Most reception halls do the same. They have a 'fake' cake with a few real pieces, and then drag the cake in the back, where they serve the sheet cake to the guests - no one will know the difference, and you can honestly save a lot of money that way!

With your cake, they can probably make the bottom or top layer from real cake batter, and have the rest made like they make gingerbread houses - with cardboard, and hard sugar on the outside.
