What is better Whipped of Butter Cream??

I prefer butter cream, but many people think it is too sweet. The problem with whipped cream is that it needs to be refridgerated.

Butter Cream holds up better than whipped.

butter cream holds up way better than whipped cream.... I usually preferred whipped- but the butter cream icing was so good on our wedding cake...

Definitely butter cream. It takes to coloring and detailing better as well.

buttercream definitely holds up better. What about rolled fondant? a little pricier though.

we're doing buttercream with some fondant icing .. that was the combo necessary for the design i want

I like butter cream as well. Our reception hall whips it up so well that it is nice and light. I know a lot of people don't like it but it is our cake.

i don't like buttercream...too sweet...

I love whipped...but couldn't do, b/c it was summer

fondant looks nice...but tastes blah...

so we did something different!! we used rolled white chocolate...it was FANTASTIC!!

don't look at the flowers on it...my flowers turned out great, but I wasn't really into what he did on the cake
