Cake ideas..........

Does anyone have any pictures of their cakes or cake ideas? I am going to my RH to discuss the menu and I have to give them pictures of what I want the cake to look like

TIA

Re: Cake ideas..........

I know there is a massive cake thread. Don't have it bookmarked though, maybe someone does.

Here is mine (first pic) though I modified it slightly.

Here are some others I liked.

I have pictures in my album. I kind of like the look of an elegant, simple cake.

Re: Cake ideas..........

the nrc has a book of cakes to choose from...there is not much variety, they pretty much all look the same and they don't do fondant.

Re: Cake ideas..........

My bakery suggested that I do a google image search of wedding cakes and email him my favs. I think I looked through 100 pages of pics!

After all that, I picked one of the bakery's display cakes! It looks similar to this one but with ribbon:

The one with the flowers in the middle of the layers is what I am aiming for... I have my appointment in a couple of weeks...

Re: Cake ideas..........

Mine is going to look like this except with square layers and instead of the dots and patterns on the layers I am going to have little squigglies that look like coral.

Re: Cake ideas..........

Here is going to be ours..... I liked the tiers because it makes the cake look much bigger but I don't like the tiers showing hahaha so the florist is going to fill it in like this.

The cake itself looks pretty standard and basic so hopefully this will be included and I don't have to pay extra!
