Cake made with ice cream

I just heard of this really great and tasty idea -


I went to a dinner party yesterday and the hostess mentioned this great cake idea that a friend of hers came up with that is relaly tasty.


She uses a regular cake box mix and instead of using oil she substitutes ice cream. She didnt have the receipe (regarding measurements) for it - but i will definitely post it when she gets it. I would think that it would be equal amount of icecream - but i amy be wrong. Nonetheless - she said the cake turned out so moist and delicious - and the best part was you could make the cake any flavor by using any ice cream flavor!

it called for 2 cups melted ice cream... came out prettty good except took longer to bake than usual

how do you melt the icecream...micro...stove...let it sit out?


is the oven the same temp?
