Are you using the cake your catering hall provides or will you be getting an outside cake?... what flavor will it be and from where are you getting it???

Re: Cake Question:
I am getting the cake from where CLM provides. I can't remember the name right now, but I have tasted a piece of cake from there and it is amazing. I have no idea of the flavor. FH and I both like yellow cake. I want it to be simple on the inside and beautiful on the outside.

Most likely yellow cake, strawberry and chocolate filling and white whipped cream. Oh, and each tier has to be separated by columns. Yeah, I'm picky.

Re: Cake Question:
We are going to look at/price outside cakes, and see what our RH will offer if we choose to not use their cake

Re: Cake Question:
I'm just using the one that Leonard's provides...I probably won't even upgrade it. I can't afford the additional expense and most people will be so full by the end of the night they won't even eat the cake. It's just not that important to me.
ETA: We'll probably get some sort of vanilla and strawberry filling with buttercream frosting.

Using WM's cake... I can't see adding another expense when there are already so many!

the bakeries for our hall are pretty good, so we're going with the one that's included.

Re: Cake Question:
I want to get an outside cake but FH thinks it's unnecessary...so we'll see how that works...I always wanted a nice, big wedding cake though, and I don't think my reception hall would provide anything close to what i'd want
