Re: Cake question
The Pastry Chef wanted an extra $100 to add the sugar flowers on my cake. The cake is my avatar. So depending how many sugar flowers you wanted and I guess the detail involved. Hope this helped a bit.

That helped a lot actually!! Thats almost the same thing as I want except a little more on the top. $100 doesnt seem so bad bc it seems like its a lot of work. Thank you sooo soo much!

Re: Cake question
I have made sugar flowers, trust me $100 is not bad at all, they are a LOT of work. And mine don't even look like theirs would.

I watch that show too. I went to Cake Atliers website and the girls split the business they are no longer partners. You could see the tension on the show not to change subjects lol

Re: Cake question
Most bakers/pastry chefs do not charge for sugar flowers or extra decors. It is usually included as part of the cake besides the filling/flavor and tier (layers of cake). The money comes from how much they charge per slice. Most bakers in the Metropolitan, New York area charges $8 and up. I would go with a smaller local bakery, culinary academy/school, or caterers that would charge way less and throw in your decorations for free. Hope that helps, good luck with your wedding plans!
