Cake tasting

Do you need to have a cake tasting? How does it work if the RH is providing it? I already had my food tasting months ago and they didnt mention the cake. I have my final meeting on October 9th to finalize the menu but when I booked the appointment they didnt mention it. Should I call and ask? im not sure if they do one.

Our RH gave us the name of the bakery and we went there and ordered a sample cake...you don't necessarily have to do that, but we wanted to try out a flavor we hadn't had before, so we wanted to make sure we liked it.

I'm kinda glad we did that because that was the most I ever ate of my wedding cake...we were so busy at the wedding I only had like one bite!
