Anyone using a bride and groom cake topper??.... Fh is very tradition, so i'm not surprised to hear that this is what he wants... i wanted to use our monogram for the cake =( Do people even still use bride and groom cake toppers?? If you're using one, i'd love to see pics....

I am. Let me see if i can find it.
The first one is what my mom already got me. It's really high though so it'll stand next to the cake. The second one she's going to get instead if she can find it for a decent price. Both are Lladro.
These are gorgeous... they look heavy though!! Are they too heavy for the top of the cake?

I am but not by choice..lol...FH wants 1. So im using one of the funny ones. The groom has a golf bag lookin at his clock and the bride is no where to be found, instead there is a sign that says still shopping..lol...

They are heavy and big so they def won't be able to fit on top of the cake. I'm going to do the same as PP, put flowers on top of the cake.
My mom has been looking on ebay. She got the first one for $150 and called lladro to see how much it really is and it's like $800 cuz it's discontinued.

Macys carries Lladro and I think that BBB does too - my sister gave me mine for our engagement party (I hinted what kind I wanted) lol!
Mine are in my albums...FH vetod the monograms. We are putting ours to the left and right of our cake.

we are having a beach themed wedding... so this is probably not helpful!!! But I LOVE it so and it came in the mail last week so I wanna share anyway!!!
FH and I got a funny cake topper... We've always been more on the silly side than the serious side, so we just thought it fit. Especially because we're EXTREMELY competitive and its a running joke with our families, so we thought this suited us well.....

I know it's just too damn perfect. I have one of my MOHs to thank for it. I showed it to her when I found it and she was the only who actually ordered it for us as an engagement present!
FI had seen it on Ebay but he doesn't want to see what it looks like customized, he wants it to be a surprise
