Showed it to my mom and she HATES it though, she thinks it's so tacky and will ruin the cake. I told her I was getting my FH a groom's cake of a stack of weights and putting this with it, and she flipped out (he's into weight lifting and I thought it would be a cute surprise for him)
So I have a poll question for you guys: Should I get the grooms cake for the day before for the rehearsal, or should I have it at the wedding?
yea I'm thinking the rehearsal is the place for it. My mom said groom's cakes are cool, but she feels like the wedding cake should be the only cake that stands out at the reception.
I ordered a groom's cake for him, but I'm thinking I will just tell them to change the date to the day before and surprise him at the rehearsal dinner with it

I think your topper is adorable! But I agree with the rehearsal dinner reveal instead of having the groom's cake at the reception. I'm sure your FH is going to love it!

I would put it on my cake table (I have seen some people do that as a cute personal touch)

I think your cake topper is cute! But I personally prefer having the grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner
