Cake Topper dilemma, what would you do.

Cake Topper dilemma, what would you do.

So I got my cake topper the other day from a seller on Ebay. Well.... My initial is clearly bigger than FH's and its annoying me (even though I am the better half LOL).
So I emailed the seller and he basically said that the smaller letters are ALL cut from the same stencil and are the same size. Ummm no..

So I took pics of this difference and sent them to him. I think it looks ridiculous and if he doesn't send me a fixed letter 'C' I am going to wind up just using the main letter 'B' and I don't really want to do that.

What would you do????

I am attaching pics so you all can see what I am talking about. Just keep in mind that they will be painted LOL

Wow, I would be totally POed! He refused to send a new one? Totally give him a poor rating if that is the case. Personally, I would hound him some more for a new one. Then if that didn't work, I would probably just use the B. I'm sorry to hear this happened

It's not that bad. They are 'off', but they aren't going to be right next to each other. And, it looks like it's the 'stick' part of the D that's making it bigger. So, maybe you could compensate by not pushing the other letter entirely into the cake?

Even still, the difference is very small and I really don't think your guests will notice it at all.

I hope she sends a new letter to match. I got the same cake topper and luckily my letters were OK, but I would be upset had one first name initial been larger than another. Having just the letter 'B' won't look bad, but it stinks because you paid for the monogram 3, so I know what you mean. I'm sure after they see the pics they'll fix it.

I think one looks taller than the other. Can you stick one further in the cake than the other? Good Luck.

I would definitly hound him/her. The D is 'thicker' the than the C- I actuallly bought the same topper from e-bay, they actually goofed and sent me two instead of one. They have made mistakes before, and hopefully they can fix the letter.

you could always cut the d part down a little (i mean the part that goes into the cake) they are GREAT otherwise though....like the girls are saying hound him....but what a great find otherwise!

If he doesn't fix it for you, it seriously does not look that bad. I'm sure you'll be the ONLY person that will notice it.

There is clearly a difference between the D and the C. Maybe send the pics to the seller. I bought mine from the same place and they seem like reasonable people. If worse comes to worse, you may just need to use the B only. Sorry!

I didnt say it would ruin my wedding, I was simply asking for opinions.

Anyways... the vendor emailed me back and pointed out that the post in the C is smaller than the D and that once it gets put into the cake they will both be the same height. He said if I want I can send them back and he will fix them.

When all 3 letters are together it doesn't look that bad... Try pushing the 'D' further back than the 'C' so that it will fool they eye making them seem to be the same exact size...

I would send them back if I were you- only because if it is something that will bother you and you can fix it, why not?

I am ocd, so it would bother me!
